A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF TEMPLE CITY CONSENTING TO THE
COMMENCEMENT OF PROCEEDINGS FOR THE
ANNEXATION OF CERTAIN INHABITED TERRITORY
DESIGNATED AS "TEMPLE CITY ANNEXATION #8"
WHEREAS, there was heretofore presented to the City
Council of the City of Temple City, a petition requesting
the City Council to give its consent to the commencement
of annexation proceedings in connection with that certain
inhabited territory therein referred to and generally de-
scribed, which is contiguous to the City of Temple City;
and
WHEREAS, said petition was referred to the Planning
Commission of the City of Temple City for investigation,
report and recommendation; and
WHEREAS, the Planning Commission rendered its report
and recommendation to the Council on the 6th day of May,
1965, favoring the commencement of annexation proceedings;
and
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of
the City of Temple City:
1. That consent be and hereby is granted for the
commencement of annexation proceedings in connection with
said inhabited territory, in accordance with the Annexation
Act of 1913.
2. That said unincorporated territory be and hereby
is designated as "Temple City Annexation #8 ", and is de-
scribed as set forth in Exhibit "A" attached hereto.
3. The City Clerk shall certify to the adoption of
this Resolution.
