A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE CONTRACTOR FOR THE WOODFIELD RIDGE PART ONE
OUTLOT B RETENTION POND REPAIRS PROJECT
WHEREAS: there exists a need to repair the outlet structure, removing silt from pond, and re=grading of surrounding
area around the Woodfield Ridge Estate Part One Outlot B Storm Water Run-off Retention Pond.
WHEREAS: upon review and survey by the City Engineer's office of said retention pond; it has been agreed upon
that repairs are necessary and Engineer has presented to the City specifications and estimates,
Which were included in packets forwarded to potential contractors,
WHEREAS: the landowners surrounding the retention pond have presented to the City Council a request to repair the
retention pond and with the request that landowners will in the future maintain the surrounding area around the pond,
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of Tiffin, Iowa, that -the City Council approves the proposal
submitted by Contractor: Neuzil & Sons, Inc. for the amount of $43,625 as the lowest most responsible responsive
contractor for the repairs as indicated as indicated and detailed on the bid proposal forms. Contractor will begin work as
soon as possible per the specifications as indicated in the proposal documentation and contract.
THERFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of Tiffin, Iowa that the City Council approves to use New
Development Fees Funds for this Project as the project.
THEREFORE, BE IT'RESOLVED, BY the City Council of Tiffin, Iowa to authorize the Mayor and City Clerk to sign all
necessary notices, documents, and forms of contract, as required and necessary to execute such contract.
On this 28th day of September 2011, at the special meeting of Tiffin City Council, Tiffin, Iowa, Council person Travis
Weipert introduced Resolution 2011-45 A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE CONTRACTOR FOR THE
WOODFIELD RIDGE PART ONE OUTLOT B RETENTION POND REPAIRS PROJECT and made a motion for
approval. The motion was seconded by Council person Jim Bartels. ,
AYES: Chris Ball. Jm Bartels. Mark Petersen. Travis Weigert.
NAYS:None
ABSENT: Mike Gericke
WHEREUPON, Four votes by City Council approved Resolution 2011-45, Mayor Phillips declared that Resolution 2011-
45 A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE CONTRACTOR FOR THE WOODFIELD RIDGE PART ONE OUTLOT B
RETENTION POND REPAIRS PROJECT be adopted and signified his approval of the same by affixing his signature
thereto.
PASSED, AND APPROVED THIS 28th DAY OF. September 2011.
