Re: Peter Kulpa — Temporary Assignment
Dear Peter:
Thank you for accepting the Village of Key Biscayne's (the "Village") temporary
assignment to the position of Interim Village Clerk, effective April 24, 2020. The terms
and conditions of your assignment as Interim Village Clerk are set forth below:
1. As Interim Village Clerk, you agree to perform the duties and exercise the
powers as prescribed by the Section 3.04 of the Village Charter. Further, you
agree and understand that you shall work on a full-time basis, which will require
you to attend all Village Council and related meetings where the Village Clerk's
attendance is required.
2. Your wages and terms and conditions of employment will remain the same, except
as modified herein, and during your tenure as Interim Village Clerk you will retain
the rights and privileges of a bargaining unit employee consistent with the
collective bargaining agreement ("CBA") between the Village and the
International Union of Police Associations ("IUPA").
3. At the end of this temporary assignment, which lies within the exclusive discretion
of the Village, you will assume your previously held position with the same terms
and conditions of employment to which you are entitled under the CBA.
To indicate your acceptance of this offer, please sign this document in the space
designated below and return it to me at your convenience.
