A RESOLUTION: APPROVING A GRANT APPLICATION TO THE VIRGINIA
DEPARTMENT OF CONSERVATION AND ECONOMIC DEVELOP-
MENT, DIVISION OF LITTER CONTROL FOR SUPPLEMENTAL
FUNDING OF LITTER CONTROL EQUIPMENT
WHEREAS, the Council recognizes the need for litter control
within the boundaries of the Town of Leesburg; and
WHEREAS, the Litter Control Act of 1976 provides, through
the Department of Conservation and Economic Development, Division
of Litter Control, for the allocation of public funds to be
contributed through grant funding to local litter control pro-
grams; and
WHEREAS, the regulations and the application for the admin-
istration and use of such funds have been reviewed and considered:
RESOLVED by the Council of the Town of Leesburg, Virginia,
as follows:
The Town Manager is authorized to apply for grant funding
for the litter control program described in the grant application,
which is hereby endorsed.

A RESOLUTION: AUTHORIZING AN APPLICATION TO THE FEDERAL AVIATION
ADMINISTRATION FOR AIRPORT DEVELOPMENT AID PROGRAM
FUNDS FOR SAFETY IMPROVEMENTS TO THE AIRPORT
RESOLVED by the Council of the Town of Leesburg, Virginia,
as follows:
The manager is authorized and directed to submit an appli-
cation to the Federal Aviation Administration for Airport Develop-
ment Aid Program funds for the construction of two holding aprons,
two VASI Systems, and REILS for each runway.
