APPROVING PROFESSIONAL SERVICES CONTRACT -
GENOVA BURNS & VERNOIA
WHEREAS, the Borough of Carteret is in need of specialized legal services with regard
to various ongoing disciplinary and litigation matters; and
WHEREAS, the law firm of Genova Bums & Vemoia possess the requisite experience
and expertise to provide said specialized legal services; and
WHEREAS, the Chief Financial Officer has certified that funds are or will be available
for said purpose.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Mayor and Council of the Borough
of Carteret that the law firm of Genoval Bums & Vemoia is hereby appointed special
labo} counsel at an hourly rate set pursuant to the firm's existing contract with the
Borough for a maximum cost not to exceed $35,000.00.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that this contract is awarded as a professional service
pursuant to N.J.S.A. 40A: 11-2(6) and shall be advertised as may be required by law.
