As you know, we are relatively new counsel to this controversy and as part of our assessment, we would like to know the authority by which the Mayor of Gulfstream acted to have Gulfstream file a bar complaint with The Florida Bar Consumer Assistance Program and Unlicensed Practice of Law Division against the O'Boyle Law Firm. We do not see the authority for the Mayor to act in this regard in the charter without commission approval. We can find no commission approval for this action. We ask this question in order to understand fully the charges and counter - charges that have been brought and in an attempt to be more analytical about the circumstances in which our clients find themselves entangled.
