Absent Van Hauen. Motion by Nielsen second by Van Heiden to approve the minutes of the September meeting. All ayes, carried. Motion by Nielsen second by Lindaman to approve the Treasurer’s Report for September. All ayes, carried. Motion by Van Heiden second by Lindaman to approve the following bills for payment. Motion by James second by Van Heiden to approve renewal of Death and Dismemberment insurance for the Fire Department. All ayes, carried. TJ Heronimus, City Attorney, was present to discuss dilapidated houses and trailer parking on City Streets. TJ will prepare and ordinance limiting recreational trailer parking on City Streets. Motion by Nielsen second by Lindaman to approve the purchase and installation of a new flow meter at the sewer plant. Work will be completed by HTM Sales at a cost of $6838.00. All ayes, carried. Motion by Lindaman second by James approve setting up a cafeteria plan for City health insurance premiums. All ayes, carried. Motion by Nielsen second by Lance to approve resolution 10-1-2006 a resolution approving the destruction of records following the guidelines recommended in the “Record Retention Manual for Iowa Cities”. Roll call of votes. All ayes, carried. Motion by James second by Lindaman to approve Resolution 10-2-2006 a resolution adopting the NIMS concept of emergency planning and unified command. Roll call of votes. All ayes, carried Junk Clean up day will be scheduled for October 21st. Motion to adjourn by Van Heiden second by James.
