WHEREAS, it has been determined that it is now necessary to appropriate more money than was appropriated in the annual budget; NOW THEREFORE BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CCWCN COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RICHMOND, WAYNE COUNTY, INDIANA: SECTION 1. That for the expenses of said municipal corporation the following additional stuns of money are hereby appropriated and ordered set apart out of the several appropriations, herein named and for the purposes herein specified, subject to the laws governing the same: AMOUNT MOUNT REQUESTED APPROPRIATED GENERAL FUND Fire Department 3720 - Fire Protection $145,000.00 $145,000.00 TOTAL $145,000.00 $145,000.00 SECTION 2. WHEREAS, it has been shown that certain existing appropriations now have tnobligated balances which will not be needed for the purposes for which appropriated, it is further ordained that the following existing appropriations be reduced in the following amounts. AOUNT AMOUNT REOUESTED REDUCED GENERAL FUND Board of Public Works 3540 - Water $145,000.00 $145,000.00 TOTAL $145,000.00 $145,000.00 SECTION 3. This Ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after its passage and approval by the Mayor and is subject to the laws of the State of Indiana governing emergency appropriations. EXCERPTS OF THE MEETING OF THE COMMON COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RICHMOND, INDIANA The Common Council of the City of Richmond, Indiana, met in regular session in the Council. Chambers in the Municipal Building of said City_ARril 18, 1983 , at the hour of 7.30-p.mz• Councilman--_ dills presided with the following members present: Messrs. Elstro Williams Henry Hankinson Welch Parker Carter e aust Absent: None The following business was had, to -wit: (OTHER BUSINESS HAD) The Clerk presented proof of publication of Notice to Taxpayers printed in the Richmond Palladium Item, a newspaper of general circulation in the City of Richmond, Indiana, on the dates of April 7 and April 14, 1983 Said notices stated that a public hearing would be held on the 18th day of April, 1983 , by the Common Council to consider additional appropriations as provided for in Ordinance No. 11-1983 , within the City of Richmond, Indiana. The proof of publication and posting of notices were examined and found to be correct and in order. Councilman Welch moved the proof of publication and posting of notices be received and ordered filed, seconded by Councilman Paust , and on voice vote the motion was carried. The Clerk read on second reading Ordinance No. 11-1983 President Mills announced Ordinance No. 11-1983. After hearing all persons present, Ordinance No. 11-1983 was placed on final passage or rejection and on a call of the roll the following was recorded: Ayes: Elstro Williams Henry , Hankinson , Welch Parker , Carter Paust Mills Noes: None Absent: None The vote being 9 to in favor of passage of Ordinance No. -1983 (OTHER BUSINESS HAD) There being no further business on motion duly made, seconded and passed, the meeting was adjourned.
