RESOLUTION APPROVING PAYMENT OF THE 2011 NORTHWAY WELL AND PUMP
COMPANY INVOICE FOR THE WATER WELL MOTOR DAMAGE
WHEREAS: Emergency measures were taken to resolve the damage of the water well motor
at the Water Plant located within the corporate city of, limits of Tiffin, Iowa in June 2011.
WHEREAS: Employers Mutual Insurance Company settled claim filed for the amount of
$6,300.00.
WHEREAS: Northway Well and Pump Company submitted an invoice for the amount of
$43,426.55 for payment for repairs and upgrades from Water Utility Funds.
THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, BY The City Council of Tiffin, Iowa to approve and make
payment to Northway Well and directs the Mayor and City Clerk to proceed with payment.
At a regular City Council meeting on the 14th day of September 2011 Resolution 2011-44
RESOLUTION APPROVING PAYMENT OF THE 2011 NORTHWAY WELL AND PUMP
COMPANY INVOICE FOR THE WATER WELL MOTOR DAMAGE was introduced by
Councilperson Chris Ball and made a motion for approval. Motion seconded by Councilperson
Travis Weinert.
AYES: Chris Ball. Mike Gericke. Mark Petersen. Travis Weipert
NAY: None
ABSENT: Jim Bartels
WHEREUPON with: Four votes for approval, Mayor Phillips now declares Resolution 2011-44
RESOLUTION APPROVING PAYMENT OF THE 2011 NORTHWAY WELL AND PUMP
COMPANY INVOICE FOR THE WATER WELL MOTOR DAMAGE passed and confirms this
action by affixing his signature.
Passed and approved this 14th day September of 2011.
