A RESOLUTION: AUTHORIZING EXECUTION OF A NORTHERN VIRGINIA
LAW ENFORCEMENT MUTUAL AID AGREEMENT
WHEREAS, certain local governments in Northern Virginia
have determined that providing police aid across jurisdictional
boundaries in certain emergencies will increase the ability of
the participating local governments to promote the public safety
and protect the general welfare of its citizens;
RESOLVED by the Council of the Town of Leesburg, Virginia,
as follows:
The mayor is authorized to execute on behalf of the town,
the agreement entitled Northern Virginia Law Enforcement Mutual
Aid Agreement, being the same as distributed to the Council on
January 16, 1979.
