Ten Mile Drive This office responded to a complaint from a neighbor of 3420 N. Ten Mile Drive on May 19, 1998, pertaining to tall weeds and brush. Mr. Stan Thessen verified the code violation and sent a notice by certified mail and posted the property in violation of City code. The owners failed to appear at the hearing on May 29, 1998, or abate the violation described in the notice. On June 2, 1998, the property was bid for abatement and the lowest bid of$200.00 was accepted. On June 3, 1998, the abatement was ordered by the City and completed and the costs submitted to the City clerk. Current Payoff Amount: $256.48 Please note that the City will turn this tax bill over to the Cole County Collector's office on September 11, 1998, at which time it will be added to your 1998 property tax bill. Since this is a lien and not a property tax, it must be paid in addition to your property taxes. Most lending institutions will not allow tax liens to be figured into mortgage payments as they do property taxes, and this lien will remain attached to your property until the City receives the full payoff amount. If you wish to pay off this lien before it is turned over to the County, please submit the payoff amount to the City of Jefferson immediately.
