A RESOLUTION: REQUESTING AN URBAN TRANSPORTATION PLANNING STUDY FOR CATOCTIN
CIRCLE BETWEEN MARKET STREET AND EDWARDS FERRY ROAD
WHEREAS, a need exists for the extension of Catoctin Circle between
Market Street and Edwards Ferry Road; and
WHEREAS, for this stretch of road to be eligible for state urban funds
for construction, reconstruction, or improvement, it must be designated an
urban arterial by an urban transportation planning study conducted by or
for the Virginia Department of Highways and Transportation; and
WHEREAS, the Leesburg Planning Commission has requested that this
planning study be conducted:
THEREFORE, RESOLVED, Leesburg herewith requests that the Virginia
Department of Highways and Transportation conduct an urban transportation
planning study for extension of Catoctin Circle between Market Street and
Edwards Ferry Road.
