Three Leesburg Restaurants Featured in Northern Virginia
Magazine’s 50 Best Restaurants List for 2010
Leesburg, VA (November 1, 2010) – In the November 2010 issue of Northern Virginia Magazine,
three Leesburg restaurants are featured in the magazine’s annual list of the area’s 50 Best
Restaurants. All three restaurants – Lightfoot Restaurant, Tuscarora Mill and The Wine Kitchen –
are also recognized as “Destination Restaurants” by Visit Loudoun (www.visitloudoun.org).
“Northern Virginia Magazine’s recognition of these remarkable Leesburg restaurants accurately
showcases the growing culinary arts culture in Leesburg,” commented Ara Bagdasarian, chair of
Leesburg’s Economic Development Commission.
Lightfoot Restaurant, located at 11 North King Street, received special recognition for making the
list each of the five years that the magazine has published the annual list. The editors bestowed
their highest rankings on Lightfoot Restaurant, highlighting Chef/Co-Owner Ingrid Gustavson’s
comfort food, paired with her innovative international themed creations.
Tuscarora Mill, or “Tuskies” as it is known by the locals, is also a familiar name on the Top 50 List.
Located at 203 Harrison Street in Market Station, Tuskies is noted in the article for their use of local
produce and meats in their cuisine. Chef Patrick Dinh’s dishes received special comment for his
international flare and Tuskies’ Bar is noted as one of the “most lively” in the region.
The Wine Kitchen, which opened in 2008, is also making a repeat appearance on the Top 50
Restaurants list. Located at 7 South King Street, The Wine Kitchen is noted in the article for their
playful menu. Editors compliment Chef Matt Hess for his Modern American cuisine as the article
plays special attention to the recently added Taco Night and clever wine flight options.
