ORDINANCE NO. /33
AN ORDINANCE LEVYING AND ASSESSING SPECIAL
ASSESSMENTS ON CERTAIN LOTS, PIECES AND
PARCELS OF LAND LIABLE FOR SUCH SPECIAL
ASSESSMENTS TO PAY THE COSTS OF INTERNAL
IMPROVEMENTS IN THE CITY OF BEL AIRE,
KANSAS, AS HERETOFORE AUTHORIZED BY
RESOLUTION NOS. R-87-1, R-87-2, R-87-3,
R-87-4 and R-88-01, RESPECTIVELY OF THE
CITY; AND PROVIDING FOR THE COLLECTION OF
SUCH SPECIAL ASSESSMENTS.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE GOVERNING BODY OF THE CITY OF BEL
AIREl KANSAS:
SECTION 1. For the purpose of paying the costs of the
following described improvements in the City:
St reet and Dr a i nage Improvements cons t ructed to serve
the following area, to wit: Lots 1 through 18,
inclusive, Block 1 and Lots 1 through 42, inclusive,
Block 2, all in Eagle Lake Second Addition, BeL Aire"
SedgHick County, Kansas, according to the plans and
specifications to be furnished by the City Engineer of
the City of Bel Aire, Kansas;
Sanitary Sewer Extensions constructed to serve the
following area, to wit: Lots 1 through 18, inclusive,
Block 1 and Lots 1 through 42, inclusive, Block 2, all
in Eagle Lake Second Addition, Bel Aire, Sedgwick
County, Kansas, according to the plans and
specifications to be furnished by the City Engineer of
the City of Bel Aire, Kansas;
Water Line Extensions constructed to serve the
fOllowing area, to wit: Lots 1 through 18, inclusive,
Block 1 and Lots I through 42, inclusive, Block 2, all
in Eagle Lake Second Addition, Bel Aire, Sedgwick
County, Kansas, according to the plans and
specifications to be furnished by the City Engineer of
the City of Bel Aire, K~nsas;
Sanitary Sewer Extensions constructed to serve the
following area, to wit: Lot I and 2, inclusive,
Sunrise Bible Chapel Addition to Bel Aire, Sedgwick
County, Kansas, according to the plans and
specifications to be furnished by the City Engineer of
the City of Bel Aire, Kansas; and

Sanitary Sewer Extensions constructed to serve the
area in and about Cozy Homes Addition, City of Bel
Aire, Sedgwick County, Kansas more specifically
described as those lots and tracts located within the
area described by the following metes and bounds:
Beginning on the center line of 37th St. North and 100
feet west of the west line of Cozy Homes Addition and
running thence north parallel with said west line to
the south line of the Missouri Pacific Railroad
right-of-way; thence northeasterly along said
right-of-way line to the northeast corner of Cozy
Homes Addi t ion; thence south a long the ea s t 1 i ne 0 f
said addition to the center line of 37th St. North;
thence west to the place of beginning;
to the City of Bel Aire, Kansas; as heretofore authorized by
Resolution Nos. R-87-1, R-87-2, R-87-3, R-87-4 and R-88-01,
respectively of the City of Bel Aire, Kansas, there are hereby
levied and assessed against the properties liable therefor the
several amounts set forth on Exhibit A attached hereto
following the description of each lot, piece or parcel of land.
SECTION 2. The amounts so levied and assessed as set forth
on Exhibit A of this Ordinance shall be due and payable from
and -cift-er the date of publication of this Ordinance; and the
City Clerk shall notify the- owners of the above described
properties, insofar as known to said City Clerk, of the amounts
of their respective assessments; and, said, notice sheill further
state that unless such assessments are paid within thirty (30)
days from the date of publication of this Ordinance, bonds will
be issued therefor. The City Clerk shall certify to the County
Clerk, in the same manner and at the same time as other taxes
are certified, for a period of ten (10) years, all of the above
assessments which have not been paid within thirty (30) days
after the date of publication of this Ordinance, together with
interes t on such amount the reo fat a rate no t exceed i ng the
maximum rate therefor as prescribed by the laws of the State of
Kansas; and such amounts so certified shall be placed on the
tax rolls and shall be collected as other taxes are collected
over said period of ten (10) years, the levy for each year
being a portion of the principal amount of the assessment plus
one (1) year's interest on the amount remaining unpaid.
SECTION 3. This Ordinance
