said Department of Community Development did certify to said City Clerk that the above costs were accrued
by the City of Jefferson for the maintenance of the property located at 719 Hobbs Terrace
and that said costs were for the purpose of bringing the condition of the property into compliance with the Code
of the City of Jefferson.
I further certify that this tax is a lien against the lot or piece of ground therein described, and bears interest
at a rate of eight percent (8%) which shall begin accruing 30 days after the date of certification, and continue at
said rate until paid. If not paid, this lien shall be turned over to the Cole County Tax Collector for inclusion in
property taxes assessed to this property.

Hello Mary,
I am writing about a duplicate payment which I received in the mail on December 1, 2008 for property located at
719 Hobbs Terrace in Jefferson City MO, Special Tax Bill # 15757. Our records show that this tax bill was paid by
Continental Title Co. of St. Louis MO, and released on September 5, 2008.
The payment I received yesterday is from GBS Partners, LLC, a trustee for the U.S. Department of HUD at their
Liberty, MO office (phone: 816-781-7234), and the check stub indicates "BUYER: Vogler". I have a copy of the
original document showing the "Paid" status and release date of September 5, 2008, which I would be happy to
fax to your office if-you wo.uld_proy de_me_with_a fax number.
The Cole County Collector's office has confirmed this morning that there is no lien attached to the property taxes
on their records. However, HUD is apparently under the impression that this tax lien is still outstanding.
I am returning the check to GBS, and marking it "VOID" per your instructions when we spoke on the phone this
morning.
