AN ORDINANCE FIXING THE ANNUAL SALARIES OF ALL ELECTED OFFICERS OF THE CITY OF
RICHMOND, INDIANA
WHEREAS, I.C. 36-4-7-1 et seq. provides for the fixing of annual compensation
of elected City Officers.
NOW 'THEREFORE BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COMMON COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RICHMOND,
WAYNE COUNTY, INDIANA:
SECTION 1. That for the fiscal year beginning January 1, 1984 and ending
December 31, 1984, the following elected officers of the City of Richmond,
Indiana shall receive the following compensation.
Mayor $31,930.00
City Clerk
(Including RP&L) 16,995.00
President of
Conmon Council 5,145.00
Chairman of Board of
Directors, RP&L 5,145.00
Each member of Conmon
Council(Including Board
of Directors, RP&L) 4,945.00

ELECTED OFFICERS PROPOSED SALARIES
Notice is hereby given the taxpayers of the City of Richmond, Wayne County,
Indiana, that the Common Council of said Municipal Corporation at their
regular meeting place at 7:30 o'clock P.M. on the 18th day of July, 1983,
will consider the fixing of annual compensations of elected City Officers
under I.C. 36-4-7-1 for the fiscal year beginning January 1, 1984 and ending
December 31, 1984, as follows:
Mayor $31,930.

EXCERPTS OF THE MEETING OF THE COMMON
COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RICHMOND, INDIANA
The Common Council of the City of Richmond, Indiana, met in regular session in the
Council Chambers in the Municipal Building of said City of Richmond
at the hour of 7.30 p.m .
Councilman_ Mills presided with the following members present:
Messrs. Elstro Williams Henry Hankinson
Welch Parker Carter Paust
Absent: None
The following business was had, to -wit: --

The Clerk presented proof of publication of Notice to Taxpayers printed in the
Richmond Palladium Item, a newspaper of eneral circulation in the City of
Richmond, Indiana, on the dates of June T and June 15, 1983
Said notices stated that a public hearing would be held on the 1t day of
_July, 1983 , by the Common Council to consider additional appropriations
as provided for in Ordinance No. 27-1983 , within the City of Richmond,
Indiana. The proof of publication and posting of notices were examined and
found to be correct and in order. Councilman Welch moved the proof
of publication and posting of notices be received and ordered filed, seconded
by Councilman_ Parker , and on voice vote the motion was carried.
The Clerk read on second reading Ordinance No. 27-1983
President Mills announced Ordinance No. 27-1983 is on public hearing.
After hearing all persons present, Ordinance No. 27-1983 was placed on
final passage or rejection and on a call of the roll the following was recorded:

Welch Parker Carter Paust
Mills Noes: None
Absent: None
