RESOLUTION D~T~I1/gING A~DL~T TO BE RAISED
BY THE TAXATION FOR SCHOOL. PURPOSES
FOR THE 1997-1998 SCMOOL YEAR.
~EKEAS, by Resolution No. 97-161(A), the Mayor and Council of the
Borough of Carteret (the "Borough") certified the amount of funds to
be raised by taxation for school purposes for the 1997-1998 School Year;
and
WHEREAS, additional funds have become available to Carteret Board of
Education which will allow them to reduce the amount of funds for
school purposes to be raised during the 1997-1998 school year.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Governing Body of the Borough of
Carteret, in the County of Middlesex, and the State of New Jersey, that
the Amount which it determines in its judgment necessary to be raised
by taxation to provide a thorough and efficient system of schools in the
Local School District is $16,443,213.00 for the 1997-1998 School Year;
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that there be raised, approved and collected for
the School District of Said Borough during the year 1997, the following
items: .
January 1, 1997 to June 30, 1998 $8,301,326.50
July 1, 1997 to December 31, 1998 $8~221,606.50
Total Amount to be raised by Taxation $16,522,933.00
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that as of July 1, 1997, said aggregate sero of
$16,522,933.00 be certified immdiately by the Municipal Clerk to the
Middlesex County Board of Taxation, 'the Board of Education of the School
District of the Borough of Carteret, the County Superintendent of Schools
the Assessor and Tax Collector of the Borough. '
