Re: Ordinance No. 38-1983
Plan Commission Case No. PC-83-12
Dear Mr. Mills, Members of Common Council and Mrs. Trimble:
The Richmond City Plan Commission conducted a public hearing on Tuesday, July 26,
1983, on its own petition requesting to amend Article 31 of the Zoning Ordinance.
The Planning Department has been approached by a party proposing to establish a
wood stripping business. However, the Zoning Ordinance presently does not classify the
use wood stripping in any zoning district regulation. During the public hearing, the
Plan Commission determined that wood stripping should properly be placed within the
C-2 zoning district by adding a new Article 31.011.
The Plan Commission voted nine (9) to zero (0) to recommend the passage of Ordinance
No. 38-1983.
