Twelve Leesburg Businesses Among Finalists for Loudoun
Chamber of Commerce’s 2010 Small Business Awards
Leesburg, VA (November 2, 2010) – Twelve Leesburg businesses are among the thirty-two
finalists for the Loudoun Chamber of Commerce’s 2010 Small Business Awards. The awards
ceremony will be held on Thursday, November 4, 2010 at the Lansdowne Resort.
The Loudoun Chamber Small Business Awards honor the best of Loudoun’s small businesses in
eight award categories. Eligible businesses must be located in Loudoun County, have 30 or
fewer employees and have been in business for at least 1 full year. The Leesburg finalists
include:
• For Franchisee of the Year, Comfort Suites Leesburg
• For Home Based Business of the Year, J. Morris Flowers and Talk Loudoun
• For Service Business of the Year, Johnson Promotions & Events and ProJet Aviation
• For Non-Profit of the Year, Loudoun Community Health Center, Loudoun Habitat For
Humanity and Loudoun Literacy Council
• For AgriComm Business of the Year, Mom’s Apple Pie
• For Retailer of the Year, The Cottage and The Wine Kitchen
ProJet Aviation’s President and CEO Shye Gilad and Talk Loudoun’s President Miriam Nasuti are
also finalists for the Entrepreneur of the Year award. Leesburg-based Omnilert is a finalist for
the night’s highest honor, Small Business of the Year. Omnilert CEO, Ara Bagdasarian, is the
chair of the Leesburg Economic Development Commission.
Over eighty Leesburg businesses were nominated for the Loudoun Chamber Small Business
Awards. The Town of Leesburg would like to congratulate these finalist and all of the Leesburg
businesses, listed below, that were nominated for the 2010 Small Business Awards.
