A RESOLUTION OF THE LYNWOOD CITY COUNCIL AUTHORtZI'NG THE
.APPLICATION FOR FEDERAL GRANT FUNDS AVAILABLE THROUGH THE TITLE
II FORMULA GRANTS PROGRAM
WHEREAS, the City of Lynwood desires to receive and use federal ,grant funds
~ .available through the Title Il Formula Grants Program administered by the State of
~ i California Corrections Standards Authority (CSA); and
WHEREAS, if awarded a grant, the City of Lynwood agrees to abide by the
statutes and regulations governing the Title II Formula Grants. Program as well as the
~ terms and conditions of the Grant Agreement as set forth by the CSA; and
WHEREAS, the City of Lynwood also agrees that grant funds received
hereunder shall not be used to supplant expenditures controlled by this body.
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY OF LYNWOOD DOES HEREBY FIND, ORDER,
AND RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. That the City Manager or his designee is authorized to sign and
submit the Title II Formula Grants application, and if awarded a grant;: he is authorized
to sign the Grant Agreement with the CSA, including any amendment thereof, and
oversee the expenditure of grant funds in accordance with the grant conditions.
Section 2. This resolution shall become effective immediately upon its adoption.
