A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LYNWOOD
AUTHORIZING STAFF TO ACQUIRE THE NEW TROLLEY BUS SERVICES
CONTRACT THROUGH A FORMAL BIDDING PROCESS
WHEREAS, the City of Lynwood and Lynwood Trolley Company (formerly
Commuter Bus Lines, Inc.) have entered into certain services agreement dated June 4,
2002, and subsequent amendments, which set forth the terms and conditions for the
operation of the Lynwood Fixed Route Trolley Bus System and the Blue Line Shuttle
Bus; and
WHEREAS, said contract is to expire on December 31, 2006; and
WHEREAS, acquiring the new contract through a formal bidding process
will ensure the City the best possible contract rates and services.
NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of Lynwood does hereby
find, proclaim, order and resolve as follows:
Section 1: That the City Council authorize staff_ to acquire the new trolley
services contract through a formal bidding process.
Section 2: This resolution shall take effect immediately upon its adoption
PASSED, APPROVED and ADOPTED this 17t" day of October, 2006
