A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LYNWOOD
AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO EXECUTE THE FIRST AMENDMENT TO THE
COOPERATIVE AGREEMENT FOR THE GATEWAY CITIES TRUCK IMPACTED
INTERSECTION PROJECT AND AUTHORIZE THE CITY MANAGER OR DESIGNEE
TO MAKE THE NECESSARY FUND RE-APPROPRIATION OF PROPOSITION C
~~ FUNDS FROM THE ATLANTIC AVENUE IMPROVEMENT PROJECT, PROJECT NO.
1 05-5313 TO THE TRUCK IMPACTED INTERSECTION PROJECT
WHEREAS, the Gateway Cities Truck Impacted Intersection Project has a
$600,000 funding shortfall; and
WHEREAS, the County is ready to bid and commence construction of this
project; and
WHEREAS, the intersection of MLK Boulevard and Imperial Highway in Lynwood
was selected for this project; and
WHEREAS, the County has recalculated the new City match at 24% or
$181,174; and
WHEREAS, .Proposition C funds are. available in the Atlantic Avenue Project,
Project No. 05-5313; and
WHEREAS, the Amendment No. 1 to the Cooperative Agreement for this project
must be executed between the City and the Council of Governments.
NOW THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of Lynwood does hereby find,
proclaim, order and resolve as follows:
.Section 1. That the Mayor is hereby authorized to execute the First
Amendment to the- Cooperative Agreement between the_City of Lynwood and Gateway
Cities Council of Governments.
Section 2. That the City Manager or designee is authorized to make the
following funds appropriation and transfer:

Section 3. This resolution shall take effect immediately upon its adoption.
PASSED, APPROVED and ADOPTED this 17th day of October 2006.
