RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING A PROFESSIONAL SERVICES
CONTRACT FOR ENGINEERING SERVICES WITH KILLAM
ASSOCIATES
WHEREAS, on April 15, 2001, the Governing Body of the Borough of Carteret
passed Resolution #01-110 authorizing Killam Associates to complete various
ongoing engineering projects in the Borough of Carteret in accordance with the
authorizations provided for therein; and
WHEREAS, the foregoing Resolution inadvertently failed to include an
authorization for Killam Associates to perform general transition engineering
services as intended; and
WHEREAS, the Chief Financial Officer has certified that funds are available for
the provision of said services.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Mayor and Council of the
Borough of Carteret that Killam Associates is hereby retained and authorized to
perform transition engineering services for the Borough for a maximum amount
not to exceed $5,000.00 billable.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the authorization provided for herein is
awarded without competitive bids as a Professional Services Contract pursuant to
N.J.S.A.40A: 11-5(l)(a) due the specialized and professional nature of the services
to be provided.
