A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LYNWOOD AWARDING
A CONTRACT TO CS LEGACY CONSTRUCTION, INC. IN THE AMOUNT OF
$797,608 FOR THE CITY HALL PARKING LOT IMPROVEMENT, PROJECT NO. 05-
5297 AND AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO EXECUTE THE AGREEMENT
WHEREAS, The project,is included in the Capital Improvement Project for Fiscal
~; Year 2006-2007 as,part of the Senior Citizen Center Building Improvement Project,
Project No. 05-5297; and
WHEREAS, the City Hall Parking Lot Improvements Project, is funded with
$800,000 of General Fund; and
WHEREAS, on October 19, 2006 the bid advertisement for the project started
and Seventeen (17) contractors received project plans and specifications; and
WHEREAS, the bid opening took place in the office of the City Clerk on
November 8, 2006, and CS Legacy Construction, Inc. was the apparent lowest bidder at
$797,608; and
WHEREAS, a reference check has revealed that this contractor has the
necessary experience for this type of project.
NOW THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of Lynwood does hereby find,
proclaim, order and resolve as follows:
Section 1. That the contract for the City Hall Parking Lot Improvements
Project, Project No. 05-5297 be awarded to CS Legacy Construction, Inc. for its low bid
~,, of $797,608.
_ ~ Section 2. ~ That the Mayor is hereby authorized to execute the agreement
between the City of Lynwood and CS Legacy Construction, Inc.
Section 4. This resolution shall take effect immediately upon its adoption.
PASSED, APPROVED and ADOPTED this 21St day of November, 2006.
