To Roland Bassett, Constable of the Town of Brewster
Jreetings:
In the name of the Co-,monwealth of Massachusetts you are hereby directed to notify and
warn the inhabitants of Brewster qualified to vote in Totem affairs to meet at the Brewster
Elementary School in said Brewster on Monday evening, August 12, 1968 at 8:00 F. P`_., then and
there to act upon the follow2ng articles:
ARTICLE 1. To see if the Town will accept membership in a regional school district together Vrith
the toims of Eastham, Orleans, and 'vvellfleet in accordance with a proposed amendment of the
district agreement initiated by the Regional District School Comn_ittee on July 24, 1968, Vnich
is incorporated herein by reference and posted with this warrant. The amendment will not vase
effect unless the incurring of district debt for the construction of the additional school
facility described below or of other additional school facilities is authorized no later than
December 31, 1968. (The Regional District School Committee has authorized $5,941,000. for
constructing, originally equipping and furnishing a new district high school, including a
s:.-imeing pool, on July 24, 1968. As to any of this debt which is not disapproved by the towns
presently in the district, Brewster will become obliged to pay its share of the debt service on
the bonds according to the terms of the agreement by accepting membership in the district.)
ARTICLE 2. To see if the Town will vote to appropriate a spam of money from the Stabilization_
Fund to the E:astham-J--rleans- iell.fleet Regional School Listrict for constructing, originally
equipping and furnishing a new district high school.
ARTICLE 3. To see if the Town will vote to transfer from unappropriated available funds, the
sure of three hundred ($300.00) dollars to be added to the sum raised under Article 39 of the
March 7, 1966 TowTn Meeting: To construct a foot bridge at Paine's Creek.
A-E'M CLE 4. To act on any other business that may legally come before said meeting.
And you are directed to serve this ",arrant by posting attested copies thereof in
at least five public places in different parts of the Town seven days at least before the time
of holding said meeting.
Hereof rail not, and make due returns of this Warrant with your doings thereon to
r the Town Clerk at the time and place of meeting, as aforesaid.
- Given under our rands and the seal of the Town of Brewster hereto affixed this
