A .RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LYNWOOD
APPROVING THE EXTENSION OF CONSULTANT SERVICES AGREEMENT
BETWEEN THE CITY OF LYNWOOD AND LEGISLATIVE ADVOCACY GROUP,
INC. ON A MONTH TO MONTH BASIS NOT TO EXCEED TWELVE (12).
MONTHS
WHEREAS, on October 18, 2005 the City retained the services of Legislative
Advocacy Group Inc. to provide state advocacy services to secure funding for the Ham
Park Replacement Project; and
WHEREAS, on October 24, 2006 the Lynwood Unified School District approved the
submittal of an application to the State Allocation Board contingent upon the review of the
Ham Park Replacement Project budget and expenditures; and
WHEREAS, the Consultant Services Agreement and the Extension Agreement with
Legislative Advocacy Group will expire on November 30, 2006 prior to the submittal of an
application for funding for the Ham Park Replacement Project Budget to the State
Allocation Board; and
WHEREAS, it would benefit the City's interest to pursue additional funding for the
Ham Park Replacement Project for its completion and other broader legislative issues; and
NOW, THEREFORE the City Council of the City of Lynwood does hereby find,
determine, order and resolve as follows:
Section 1: That the City Council authorizes the Mayor to execute the extension of
~ the Consulting Services Agreement with Legislative Advocacy Group, Inc. for the firm to
provide state advocacy services for the purpose of securing funds for the Ham Park
. ~ Replacement Project and broader legislative .issues. Said extension to expire on
November 30, 20.07.
Section 2: This resolution shall become effective immediately upon its adoption.
PASSED, APPROVED and ADOPTED this 21 sT day of November 2006.
