A RESOLUTION: AUTHORIZING EXECUTION OF AGREEMENTS WITH THE ESTATE
OF WALTER L. PHILLIPS, SR. AND LOUDOUN COUNTY
PERMITTING INSTALLATION OF PEDESTRIAN/BICYCLE ACCESS
WAYS
WHEREAS, the Loudoun County School Board requires elementary
school students to walk to school if safe accesses are provided
and they are within a one-mile walking distance and;
WHEREAS, sections of accessway are required across the property
for safe passage,
NOW THEREFORE, RESOLVED by the Council of the Town of Leesburg,
Virginia, as follows:
SECTION I. The mayor is authorized to enter into an agreement
with the estate of Walter L. Phillips, Sr. to permit installation of
a gravel pedestrian/bicycle access way extending parallel to the
future North Street between Exeter Hills and Carrvale Subdivision.
SECTION II. The mayor is authorized to enter into an agreement
with Loudoun County to permit installation of a concrete sidewalk
on the north side of North Street in the vicinity of North Harrison
Street.
