Special Session
July 31, 1990
The Greencastle Common Council met in special session on
Tuesday, July 31, 1990 in City Hall. The meeting was called to
order at 7:35 p.m. On call of the roll the following members were
shown to be present: Councilor Sheri Roach, Councilor Tim Conway,
Councilor Sue Murray, Councilor Bob Sedlack, Councilor Mike
Rokicki. Also present was City Attorney Larry Wilson.
Recommendations and Requests from Officers and Departments:
Ordinance 1990 -18, An Ordinance Establishing the Size of
Departments of City Government of the City of Greencastle, Indiana,
Fixing Salaries for the Employees of Such Departments and Fixing
Salaries of Certain Other Appointed Officials for the Year 1991,
was presented to Council and read by title only by Mayor Harmless.
The amendments had been distributed to Council and were
subsequently discussed at this session. Councilor Murray moved to
approve Ordinance 1990 -18 as amended. This motion was seconded by
Councilor Sedlack and was carried by an aye unanimous vote.
Mayor Harmless declared Ordinance 1990 -18 to have been passed
and adopted this date.
Resolution 1990 -11, A Resolution Authorizing the Transfer of
Local Match Funds From CDBG II 87 -015 to CDBG IDIP 88 -018, was
presented to Council and read in its entirety by Mayor Harmless.
The transfer was explained by Clerk- Treasurer Berry. Councilor
Sedlack moved to approve Resolution 1990 -11 as presented. This
motion was seconded by Councilor Murray and was carried by an aye
unanimous vote.
Mayor Harmless declared Resolution 1990 -11 to have been passed
and adopted this date.
® Councilor Sedlack requested that an elected officials salary
ordinance be prepared for consideration by Council, to include
administrative increases of Fifteen Hundred Dollars ($1,500.00) for
the mayor and clerk- treasurer positions and maintain the Two
Thousand Dollar ($2,000.00) salary each for councilmembers.
Councilor Roach suggested adding legal fees to the Council
budget. Councilor Murray asked when the budget will come under
consideration. Clerk- Treasurer Berry indicated that budget form
no. 1 is complete and available for Council at their request, and
that the public hearing on the budget estimates will occur on
August 14, 1990 at 7:30 p.m. in City Hall as published.
With no further business, Councilor Roach moved for
adjournment. This motion was seconded by Councilor Sedlack, was
carried by an aye unanimous vote, and the meeting was adjourned at
7:55 p.m.
