RESOLUTION NO. 80-139
A RESOLUTION: APPROVING A GRANT APPLICATION TO THE VIRGINIA
DEPARTMENT OF CONSERVATION AND ECONOMIC DEVELOP-
MENT, DIVISION OF LITTER CONTROL FOR FUNDING OF
LITTER CONTROL EQUIPMENT
WHEREAS, the Council recognizes the need for litter control
within the boundaries of the Town of Leesburg; and
WHEREAS, the Litter Control Act of 1976 provides, through
the Department of Conservation and Economic Development, Division
of Litter Control, for the allocation of public funds to be
contributed through grant funding to local litter control programs.
RESOLVED by the Council of the Town of Leesburg, Virginia, as
follows:
The Town Manager is authorized and directed to submit an
application requesting the town's $~,990 grant allocation which, if
approved, will be used for expansion of our present litter control
program.
