A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
('i CITY OF LYNWOOD CONFIRMING THE INTENT
TO AMEND THE MERGER OF PARCELS
ORDINANCE FOR THE CITY OF LYNWOOD SET
FORTH IN LYNWOOD MUNICIPAL CODE
SECTION 24-4.
WHEREAS, Lynwood Municipal Code Section 25.180 and Chapter 24 set forth
provisions for subdivision maps, mergers and lot line adjustments; and
WHEREAS, Lynwood Municipal Code Section 24-4 allows the City to merge
parcels on a very limited basis otherwise a parcel map is required; and
WHEREAS, Government Code Section 66490.20 provides local agencies with
authorization to merge contiguous parcels under the same ownership subject to
approval and recordation of a notice of merger (certificate of compliance); and
WHEREAS, Government Code Section 66451.10 through 66451.20 set forth the
process and procedure for amending the parcel merger ordinance.
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LYNWOOD DOES
HEREBY RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. The City Council of the City of Lynwood hereby confirms
the intent to amend the parcel merger ordinance and directs the City Clerk to cause the
notice of adoption to be published for not less than thirty (30) days.
Section 2. This Resolution shall become effective immediately upon
its adoption.
