A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LYNWOOD
AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO EXECUTE AN AGREEMENT WITH CPS
HUMAN RESOURCE SERVICES IN AN AMOUNT NOT TO EXCEED $73,000
TO CONDUCT A CITY-WIDE CLASSIFICATION AND COMPENSATION
STUDY OF FULL-TIME AND HOURLY/PART-TIME CLASSIFICATIONS
WHEREAS, the City is currently operating with job descriptions that are
more than 15 years old and are not in compliance with the American with
I Disabilities Act; and
WHEREAS, the City compensation plan has not been updated for
approximately 15 years; and
WHEREAS, CPS, Human Resource Services has been selected based on
firm qualification and experience, cost, time frame and prior experience with
classification and compensation studies.
NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of Lynwood does hereby
find, order, and resolve as follows:
Section 1. That the City Council approves the selection of CPS, Human
Resource Services in an amount not to exceed $73,000 to conduct aCity-wide
Classification and Compensation Study for all full-time and hourly/part-time
classifications.
Section 2. The Mayor is authorized to execute an agreement approved to
form by the City Attorney.
Section 3. This resolution shall become effective immediately upon its
adoption.
PASSED, APPROVED AND ADOPTED THIS 21st DAY OF
February 2006.
