A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LYNWOOD AMENDING
THE CLASSIFICATION AND COMPENSATION PLAN FOR AT-WILL,
HOURLY/PART-TIME EMPLOYES AND APPROPRIATING THE FUNDS FOR AN
ADDIITIONAL FIVE (5) DEPUTY TO THE CITY COUNCIL POSITIONS
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Lynwood has adopted an Employee
Classification and Compensation plan and on occasion amends the plan as needed;

WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Lynwood has adopted a salary
resolution with salary schedules for at-will, hourly/part-time employees; and
WHEREAS, the City has identified a need to create the classification of a Deputy
to the City Council; the required job analysis has been completed and a job description
has been prepared and approved by the Personnel Board on February 16, 2006; and
WHEREAS, additional general fund appropriation is needed to add the five (5)
at-will, hourly/part-time Deputy to the City Council positions.
NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of Lynwood does hereby find,
determine, order and resolved as follows:
SECTION 1. That the at-will, hourly/part-time Employee Classification and
Compensation plan is amended to include the new position as follows:
Deputy to the City Council

$19.54 - $23.76 per hour
SECTION 2. That the Fiscal Year 05-06 budget is hereby amended to add five
(5) Deputies to the City Council positions.
SECTION 3. Transfer funds ($35,000) from unappropriate fund balance to 01-
4001-4105.
BECTON 4. That the modifications so ordered by this resolution shall become
effective immediately upon its adoption.
