A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
LYNWOOD AUTHORIZING AN AGREEMENT FOR THE RETENTION
OF SERVICES FOR THE DIRECTOR OF PUBLIC WORKS/CITY ENGINEER
AND AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO EXECUTE THE AGREEMENT
WHEREAS, the City of Lynwood is a General Law City under California
law and is governed by an elected City Council; and
WHEREAS, the City has conducted a search to retain the services of a
Director of Public Works/City Engineer; and
WHEREAS, on February 16, 2006, a candidate was selected for the
position of Director of Public Works/City Engineer based on the outcome of a
competitive recruitment and selection process.
NOW, THEREFORE, THE LYNWOOD CITY COUNCIL DOES HEREBY
RESOLVE AND DETERMINE AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. The City Manager is authorized to execute the attached AT-
WILL EMPLOYMENT AGREEMENT on behalf of the City as the Appointing
Authority, pursuant to Section 18-9 of the Lynwood Municipal Code.
Section 2. The Director of Public Works/City Engineer is authorized and
directed to commence performance of duties upon the effective date of the
agreement.
Section 3. This resolution shall become effective immediately upon its
adoption.
PASSED, APPROVED AND ADOPTED this 21st day of February 2006.
