INITIATING AMENDMENTS OF THE LEESBURG SUBDIVISION
AND LAND DEVELOPMENT REGULATIONS
WHEREAS, Sections 13-58(d)~ and 13-68(d)~..~ of the Leesburg
Subdivision and Land Development Regulations allow subdividers
and developers two years for completion of bonded public im-
provements; and
WHEREAS, the failure of subdividers and developers to com-
plete public improvements before the occupancy of residential
structures subjects new residents to unsafe, unhealthy and un-
desirable conditions:
THEREFORE, RESOLVED by the Council of the Town of Leesburg
in Virginia as follows:
SECTION I. Amendments of Sections 13-58(~i)i and 13-68(d)~
of the Leesburg Subdivision and Land Development Regulations to
reduce the time for completion of bonded public improvements to
one year, subject to extension in justified cases by the Council,
are hereby initiated and referred to the Planning Commission for
public hearing and recommendation in line with Sec. 15.1-472 of
the State Code.
