HomeMy Public PortalAbout11/27/1990 community forumGREENCASTLE COMMON COUNCIL Community Forum November 27, 1990 • The Greencastle Common Council met in a Community Forum on Tuesday, November. 27, 1990 at 7:00 p.m. in the PSI building. The following members were present: Councilor Sheri Roach, Councilor Tim Conway, Councilor Sue Murray, Councilor Bob Sedlack, Councilor Mike Rokicki. Mayor Harmless, Larry Wilson and Judith Berry were also present. The following is a list of concerns expressed by individuals: Mr. John Buttrey: Repaving schedule, Northeast School project and traffic concerns in the area. Ms. Lana Silver: Trash containers for multiple dwellings, stop sign at Indiana and Hanna. Mr. Randall Thomas: Stop light at 10th and SR240. Mr. Jim Spencer: Semi trucks using Avenue C and knocking down electrical wires. Mrs. Leslie Hanson: Stop light at First Street and the Southern Highway. Mr. John Buttrey: Traffic Control on Indianapolis Road. Ms. Jean Dunn: Vehicle and vehicle parts on the property at 1113 Avenue E. Mr. Tom Stringer: Requested an update on the Fillmore Road Sewer Extension project. Mrs. Nancy Stringer: Extention of cable service to Fillmore Road. • Mr. and Mrs. Jim Thomas: Standing water on Park and Lincoln. Mr. Jim Spencer: Requested an update on the Greater Eastside Sewer Separation project. Mr. and Mrs. Joe Liechty: Requested an update on the alternative power sources for lift stations in the event of power failure, now that overflows have been banned by IDEM. Ms. Maxine Patterson: Requested an update on the parking lot project of the catholic church. Mr. Steve Scott: Sewer hook -up question concerning his property. Mr. Jim Shafer: Concerned about South Street improvements and sewer extention to the area. Mr. John O'Brien: Odor from industries on S. Indiana. Mr. Gary Sweet: Odor from industries on Kirkwood Drive. Mrs. Jan Hile: Concern about the width of Albin Pond Road and the lack of sidewalks on Shadowlawn. Mr. John Buttrey: Congratulated the administration and the council for their efforts in the Greater Eastside. He noted visible improvements to the area. / The forum was adjourned at 9:00 ,�✓zZ .
