AUTHORIZING NOTICE OF PUBLICATION OF PUBLIC HEARING ON TAX
REVENUE INCREASE
WHEREAS, Section 58-785.1 of the Virginia Code requires a public notice
and public hearing whenever reassessments of real estate within the town would
result in an increase of one percent or more in the total real property tax
levied; and
WHEREAS, reassessments within the town between FY1981 and FY1982 will
result in a tax revenue increase of 1.6 percent if the proposed $0.17 per
$100.00 assessed value tax rate is approved by this Council:
THEREFORE, RESOLVED by the Council of the Town of Leesburg in Virginia
as follows:
A notice of public hearing to consider a tax revenue increase shall be
published in the Loudoun Times Mirror on May 7 and May 14, 1981 for public
hearing on 3une 10, 1981 at 7:30 P. M. in the Council Chambers 10 West Loudoun
Street, Leesburg.
