A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LYNWOOD
APPROVING THE TRAFFIC SIGNAL IMPROVEMENTS AT IMPERIAL
HIGHWAY AND ATLANTIC AVENUE INTERSECTION AND AUTHORIZING
THE CITY MANAGER OR DESIGNEE TO MAKE THE NECESSARY FUNDS
APPROPRIATION AND TRANSFERS
WHEREAS, The electrical conductors, conduits, and controller equipment for
traffic signal at Imperial Highway and Atlantic Avenue intersection have badly
deteriorated over the years; and
WHEREAS, said system deterioration has resulted in more frequent system
failure causing severe traffic backups in the area; and
WHEREAS, said traffic signal system is in dire needs to be upgraded; and
WHEREAS, the approximate cost to upgrade the traffic signal system is $50,000
NOW, THEREFORE, the Lynwood City Council of the City of Lynwood does
hereby find, proclaim, order and resolve as follows:
Section 1. That the City Council approves the traffic signal improvements at the
Imperial Highway and Atlantic Avenue intersection.
Section 2. That the City Manager or designee is hereby authorized to make the
following necessary funds appropriation and transfer:
