A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LYNWOOD
AUTHORIZING STAFF TO SEND OUT A REQUEST FOR PROPOSALS FOR
AN AUTOMATED DIGITAL MAILING MACHINE
WHEREAS, the City of Lynwood desires to upgrade its current mailing
r--- machine to meet the coming postal service requirements for Automated Digital
~ ~ Mailing Machine service; and

WHEREAS, it is a common practice by cities to solicit proposals for
certain services and equipment; and

WHEREAS, the City needs to comply with the United States Postal
Service by phasing out the City's letter press technology and replacing it with an
Automated Digital Mailing Machine; and
WHEREAS, the proposals received from providers of the new technology
will allow City staff to select the company that presents the most effective
equipment based on City needs and offers the most competitive pricing for the
new technology including service for the new equipment; and
NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of Lynwood does hereby
find, order, and resolve as follows:
Section 1. That staff be authorized and directed to send out a Request
for Proposals for an Automated Digital Mailing Machine.
Section 2. This resolution shall become effective immediately upon its
adoption.
