A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LYNWOOD
AUTHORIZING CITY STAFF TO ISSUE A REQUEST FOR PROPOSALS FOR
THE SPANISH TRANSLATION SERVICES FOR AGENCY AGENDAS
WHEREAS, the City of Lynwood desires to obtain Spanish translation
services for the translation of all agency agendas; and
WHEREAS, a large portion of the population in Lynwood is Spanish
speaking; and
WHEREAS, translating agency agendas will enable more residents to be
aware of proposed Council actions; and
WHEREAS, it is a common practice for cities to solicit proposals for
services of this nature; and
WHEREAS, the proposals received from Translation Agencies would
allow staff to determine what vendor would provide the lowest possible price and
can accommodate the needs of the City.
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LYNWOOD
DOES HEREBY RESOLVE AND DETERMINE AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. That staff be authorized and directed to send out the Request
for Proposals for the Spanish Translation of Agency Agendas.
Section 2. This resolution shall become effective immediately upon its
adoption.
