Ida Lee Recreation Center Prepares for New Cardio Equipment
The cardio section of the fitness room will be closed from October 20 to
November 1, 2019 to allow for updates.
Leesburg, VA (October 17, 2019) – The entire
fitness room will be closed on Sunday October
20, from 6 to 8 p.m. Beginning Monday,
October 21, 2019, the cardio section of the
fitness room, at the Ida Lee Recreation Center,
will close in order to prepare for the installation
of new exercise equipment.
During their October 15 meeting, the Leesburg
Town Council approved a number of pieces to
be replaced. The closure will allow staff to
prepare for the upgrades by updating the
infrastructure of the room.
During this process, the weight section of the fitness will remain open. A portion of the cardio
machines (limited treadmills, bikes, ellipticals) will be moved to the left side of the gymnasium
for public use.
The right side of the gymnasium will remain unaffected, however there will be no volleyball
during this time period. In addition, most weekday classes, held in the Multi-Purpose Room
from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. will be held in the lower level. Weekend classes will not be affected.
