Lunch & Learn to Feature George Mason University Hiring
Expert Mary Kraft
Entrepreneurs and businesses are invited to attend the free event, which will be
held on Monday, November 18, 2019.
Leesburg, VA (November 13, 2019) – In collaboration with
the Town of Leesburg’s Economic Development Office, the
Mason Enterprise Center will host a Lunch & Learn on
Monday, November 18, 2019, from 11:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.,
at 202 Church Street SE in Leesburg.
Presenting will be Manager of Employer Outreach for
George Mason University Career Services Mary Kraft. She
is focused on developing and cultivating new employer relationships with companies and
agencies in the DMV region helping them successfully access and employ George Mason
University interns and alums.
According to Kraft, using interns is a great way for businesses to tap into fresh ideas and energy
for their team while completing special projects they might not otherwise get accomplished. It
also helps support a student’s educational journey.
With a growing population of 38,000 students, George Mason is Virginia’s largest and most
diverse public university. Four unique locations, all just outside of Washington, D.C., allow
students to participate in extraordinary co-curricular opportunities. Seventy five percent of
students graduate already having career-related experience, due in part to internships offered by
the business community.
This no-cost event is open to all small businesses and entrepreneurs who would like to learn
techniques and strategies for recruiting and hiring George Mason interns and alums. Lunch will
be provided by the sponsor.
