a) Articles for Star News/Advocate — regular "library news column"

ii) "What locals are reading"
e) Increase number of members in book club
f) Other possible groups for development
i) Parenting

(1) Ed Hershberger's spouse (Barb) experienced, may be willing

3) Which actions do we want to do/can do soon, realizing that we have scarcity of
money, board, volunteer time and, most especially, Anne's time at least until the all-
important tasksautomation and cataloging are complete, and even after. We need to
try to spare Anne so she can concentrate on those things that only she can do.
a) Articles for Star News/Advocate
i) Sue and Anne have already written some, have ideas for many more
ii) Anne will approach Tom Grote and Advocate about publication possibilities
iii) Timeline — ??
b) Invite news media to special events
i) Anne will do on an ongoing basis
c) Newsletter
i) Susie and Anne will work to see what is required, expense, etcetera
(1) Check with Friei ds and McCall Arts and Humanities Council about
postage possibilities for bulk, not for profit mailings
(2) Maybe include "what they are reading" and "top ten" information
ii) Timeline??
d) Radio promotion
i) Ed Hershgold will visit with Dave the radio slave about possibilities
ii) Wi11 give us report at November meeting
e) Logo Contest
i) Something Friends might be able to do, but not before "Festival of Trees"
fund raiser is over.
ii) Sue will "plant the seed" and we need to wait until early next year to see if
this is even possible.
f) Questionnaire/survey
i) Some sort of activity this way gives good bang for the buck
ii) Too expensive to hire a professional survey outfit
iii) Hospital did, wrote their own
iv) Forest service may be able lend us expertise
v) Will talk with Robyn
g) Suggestion box for "what to do better" and "what to buy"
i) How get box built
(1) Maybe Sue's husband
(2) Maybe Billie Walker (Cut will contact)
(3) Any other willing volunteer box builders?
ii) Coding and acknowledging is key to success of suggestion box

iii) Anne and Susie will design form(s)
iv) Maybe follow-up at other locations later
