Leesburg Seeks Photos for New Town Hall Lobby Display
Selected photos will be on display for two years.
Leesburg, VA (March 8, 2019) – The Leesburg
Commission of Public Art invites artists to
submit color photographs that show the
cultural diversity of the Town for a new display
in the Town Hall lobby. Up to 16 photos will be
selected by a panel of four artists. Deadline to
submit photographs in April 30, 2019.
The selected photos will be professionally
printed and mounted for display in the two
north alcoves of the Town Hall lobby. At the
end of the two-year display, the Town will give
the photographs to the artists.
To be eligible, artists must reside in or own a
business in the Town of Leesburg corporate
limits. Photographs must have been taken in Leesburg in 2018 or 2019 and be of suitable
resolution for enlarging to 16” by 20”. Each artist may submit one photograph. All submission
requirements are detailed in the call to artists on the Town website at
www.leesburgva.gov/lobbyphotos. No previous public art experience is necessary.
As part of the new lobby art display, historic photos of downtown Leesburg will be installed in
the two south alcoves above the receptionists’ desks.
