Leesburg Hosts 27th Annual Easter Egg Hunt at Ida Lee Park on
Saturday, April 13, 2019
Leesburg, VA (March 22, 2019) – The Leesburg
Parks and Recreation Department’s 27th Annual
Easter Egg Hunt is scheduled to take place on
Saturday, April 13 from 12:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m.
at Ida Lee Park.
This year, the Easter Bunny will be hiding over
15,000 eggs filled with candy and special prizes
for children ages one through six. The hunts will
be held by age groups: 1 & 2-year-olds, 3-year-
olds, 4-year-olds, and 5 & 6 year-olds. One
parent will be allowed to assist children ages 2
and under. All other age groups will hunt
without parents. Each hunt will have one Grand
Prize egg and the lucky hunter will receive a
basket full of candy, prizes, and toys.
In addition to hunting for eggs, there will be unlimited rides on a jumbo slide, bounce houses,
obstacle courses, and other family-friendly amusements including photos with the Easter
Bunny. Families are invited to bring lunches to enjoy a picnic at their favorite spot in the park.
Tickets can be purchased in advance at Ida Lee Park Recreation Center or online at
www.idalee.org. Tickets are $10 per child. Registration will begin along with our spring
Leesburg at Leisure registration. Pre-registration ends at 8 p.m. on April 12, 2019.
Children not hunting but wanting to participate in amusements can pay $5 at the event gate to
receive a wristband. Parents will not be charged.
Parking will be available in the front fields located off North King Street (Business Route 15).
