held from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.

storage box. If all shredding vehicles fill,
the event may close early.
Every year, millions of Americans become the victims of identity theft. Documents with
sensitive information tossed into trash cans, recycling containers, and public disposal locations
are among the most common sources of information used by identity thieves.
Typically, during a four-hour event, nearly 10,000 pounds of documents will be shredded on-
site by portable shredding units and then recycled. For a list of items acceptable for shredding,
as well as tips on identity theft protection, please visit www.leesburgva.gov/shredevents.
