HomeMy Public PortalAboutResolution 65-525RESOLUTION N0.65 -525 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF TEMPLE CITY ORDERING THE ACQUISITION OF CERTAIN PROPERTY IN CONNECTION WITH PROCEEDINGS FOR OFF- STREET PARKING DISTRICT #1, UNDER AND PURSUANT TO THE VEHICLE DISTRICT PARKING LAW OF 1943; DECLARING THE PAYMENT FOR SUCH ACQUISITION TO BE AN ADVANCE FROM THE GENERAL FUND OF THE CITY; AND DECLARING THAT SUCH ADVANCE SHALL BE REPAID FROM THE FIRST MONIES AVAILABLE FROM CASH COLLECTIONS OF ASSESSMENTS OR SALE OF BONDS OR BOTH; ALL AS MORE FULLY SET FORTH IN SECTION 31710 OF THE STREETS AND HIGHWAYS CODE OF THE STATE OF CALIFORNIA. THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF TEMPLE CITY DOES RESOLVE: SECTION 1. The City Council of the City of Temple City does hereby advance, from the General Fund of the City, the sum of $72,767.03 to acquire Lots 580, 581, 582, 583 and 584 of Tract 6561, M.B. 72/34,35, under and pursuant to Escrow Instructions No. 5563 at City Escrow Services Inc., and further orders a warrant prepafed and issued in payment thereof. SECTION 2. The City Council declares such funds as an advance from the General Fund of the City to acquire such property under and pursuant to the proceeding involving off - street Parking District #1 under the Vehicle District Parking Law of 1943; the City Council declares further that such advances shall be repaid from the first monies available from cash collections of assessments or sale of bonds or both; in the manner set forth in Section 31710 of the Streets and Highways Code of the State of California. SECTION 3. Resolutions 64 -376 and 65 -463 are hereby superseded. SECTION 4. The City Clerk shall certify to the adoption of this Resolution. Approved and adopted this 21st day of September, 1965.
