Leesburg Town Council Sets Schedule for Fiscal Year 2020-
2021 Budget Review
Budget adoption scheduled for Tuesday, March 26, 2019.
Leesburg, VA (February 13, 2019) – Over the next six weeks, the Leesburg Town Council will
hold a series of public meetings to review and discuss the proposed Fiscal Year 2020-2021
Budget and Fiscal Year 2020-2025 Capital Improvements Program. All budget review meetings
will be held in the Council Chamber on the second floor of Town Hall (25 West Market Street)
and begin at 7:00 p.m.
Monday, February 25 – Budget Work Session
Monday, March 11 – Budget Work Session
Tuesday, March 12 – Budget Public Hearing
Monday, March 25 – Budget Work Session
Tuesday, March 26 – Real Estate Tax Rate Public Hearing; Budget and Tax Rate Adoption
The public is welcome to attend the work sessions and public hearings, which will be broadcast
on the Town’s local government access channel (Xfinity Channel 67 and FiOS Channel 35) and
streamed live on the Town website (www.leesburgva.gov/webcasts). A copy of the proposed
budget document is available on the Town website at www.leesburgva.gov/budget.
Members of the public can submit questions to Town staff via the online Ask a Budget Question
form (www.leesburgva.gov/ask-a-budget-question).
