Annual Leesburg 20K/5K Scheduled for Sunday, August 18,
2019
Residents and drivers should expect road closures between 7 a.m. and 10 a.m.
Leesburg, VA (August 5, 2019) – The 31st annual Leesburg 20K/5K race, benefiting the Loudoun
County YMCA and multiple Loudoun County High School Cross Country teams, will be held on
Sunday, August 18, 2019. This annual charity road race will be staged in downtown Leesburg
and will at Market Station (203 Harrison Street, SE).
The 20K will begin promptly at 7:30 a.m., followed by the 5K at 7:48 a.m. A free kids’ fun run of
about 100 yards will be held at 7:55 a.m., immediately after the start of the 5K race. Residents
and drivers should expect rolling street closures on the following streets between 7 a.m. and 10
a.m.:
Harrison Street, between Loudoun Street and Catoctin Circle
Catoctin Circle, between Harrison Street and the W&OD Trail
Dry Mill Road, between Catoctin Circle and Lee Avenue
South King Street, at the W&OD Trail
Post-race refreshments, music, and awards will be presented at MacDowell Brew Kitchen
