Economic Development Commission to Host Business Mixer
Leesburg, (August 19, 2019) – Leesburg’s Economic Development Commission will host its first
business networking event on Tuesday, September 3, 2019 at Tuscarora Mill Restaurant (203
Harrison Street, SE) in Leesburg.
According to Economic Development Director Russell Seymour anyone who has interest in
doing business in the downtown area is encouraged to attend. The event will provide business
owners the chance to get to know one another while sharing ideas for future development.
“Downtown is an important part of our overall economic development program,” Seymour
said. “We want to make certain we have and maintain good open lines of communication.”
The mixer is free to attend and will include an opportunity for networking, followed by a
business-related presentation, food and drinks.

The Leesburg Economic Development Commission consists of seven members who are
either residents of the Town, town property owners, business owners or those employed
in the Town and are appointed by the Leesburg Town Council. The Leesburg Economic
Development Commission's mission is to ensure the economic vitality and stability of the
Town of Leesburg. The commission works to retain and expand existing businesses,
attract and recruit desirable new businesses, and enhance economic activities that will
benefit local businesses and residents.
