Leesburg’s 2018 Water Quality Report Now Available Online
In 2018, Leesburg’s water met or exceeded all federal standards for
drinking water quality.
Leesburg, VA (April 9, 2019) – The Leesburg Utilities Department recently released the Town’s
Water Quality Report for 2018. The full report can be viewed on the Town website at
www.leesburgva.gov/waterqualityreport. In 2018, Leesburg met or exceeded all of the
Environmental Protection Agency’s water quality standards.
Since 1999, the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) has required drinking water
providers to publish annual water quality reports. Leesburg’s report provides customers with
information about the sources, treatment, and testing of their drinking water as well as an
overview of federal drinking water regulations.
“Leesburg takes the quality of our water very seriously,” says Leesburg Mayor Kelly Burk. “Our
investment in water infrastructure and our commitment to our residents’ health and safety is
evident in this most recent water quality report.”
A limited number of print copies of the report are available. Customers who would like a print
copy or have questions about their drinking water quality can contact the Town’s Department
of Utilities Water Supply Division at 703-737-7110.
